Addressing wedding invitation to underage child

My daughter is marrying a man who has a seven year old son who lives with his (the son's) mother. The son is in the wedding, but the mother is not invited. We are using inner and outer envelopes. Do I use the title Master on the outer envelope? How would I address the inner envelope? Thanks so much for your help.

Dear Jms,

He is right on the age-line. Boys under the age of 7 are addressed as Master. So, it really is your choice to use it or not. If you use Master on the outer envelope, you would use it and his last name without using his first name on the inner envelope. If you are not using the title, you could simply use his first and last name, as just using his last name only is a bit strange. It definitely simplifies things by using a title. Wink

Best wishes,
