Adult only reception, but children's names written on inner envelope

I just received an invitation to my nephews wedding. The inner envelope had our names and the names of both of our children. Then there was an extra card in the invitation that says "Adult reception following the ceremony..." then gives the place of reception. Are my children included? I am confused. We are coming from out of state and don't really want to go to the reception without our children.

Dear Adasw,

Any one would be confused.

This is not polite; I'm sorry. We invite all wedding guests to the reception. They have invited your children to the wedding and not the reception. So, it is your choice to attend knowing this. This is unfortunate.

Best wishes,
