     Aim for Cancelations?

Hello readers,

I have set a 120 person limit on my reception hall. It's what I can reasonably afford. Of course, I have my people who HAVE to be there, as well as my fiancee. Is there a certain reasonable number I can expect of peopel to cancel? What I mean is, if I want 120 to show up, is it okay to sent out invites for 130 people? If so, what is the deadline date, to send out invites to B list?

Thank you!

Dear Aim,

There is no way to know exactly how many will not show or cancel. Plus, you will need to give exact numbers to your vendors at least two weeks before your reception. So, one option would be to mail your invitations out at seven weeks instead of six weeks prior to your wedding. Set your RSVP date for two weeks later so you may tally your guests. Then you will know how many of the 'B' list guests you may invite. You will have to move quickly, though, on those 'B' list invitations.

You will probably still have 'no shows' or cancellations closer to your event.

Best wishes,
