Bride using mother's maiden name as her last name on wedding invitation
Is there any etiquette that is known that has a daughter using her mother's maiden name as her last name on the wedding invitation instead of her father's last name? When we asked the question we were told that this was the proper etiquette now. Considering that my last involvement in this kind of matter was 45 years ago, my wedding invitation knowledge, to say the least, is a bit rusty.
Thanks
Bruce

Dear Bruce,
I don't know who said that, but it isn't in any etiquette books I have read and I've never heard of it. The bride would use her current last name.
