     Budget Invitations

Hi,

My Fiancee and I are making our own invitations to cut down on costs. We are not having an inner envelope with our invitations and we wanted a personal touch in addressing the envelopes. Is it in bad taste to not put Mr., Ms. or Mrs. in addressing the person? Currently, the envelopes done have both names. For example, instead of Mr. & Mrs. Jones we placed Mary and Bob Jones. Our wedding is made up of people who are close and dear to us either personally or professionally.

I appreciate your feedback and look forward to reading them.

Regards,

Michelle

Dear Michelle:

Whether you use one envelope or two you should use the proper names along with their courtesy titles (Miss, Mrs. Ms. Master and Mr.) on the outer envelope; even for people with whom you are familiar.

Mr. and Mrs. John Brown

Best of Luck,
