     Call in R.S.V.P.

My future mother-in-law volunteered to do the wedding invites. Long story short, she fooled around. Now just under a month to go only half the invites are printed. However to my horror she made the rsvps mail-in only. We had agreed on call-ins because of the timing. But she suddenly changed her mind because she thought it was rude.

So, are call-in rsvps rude?

Dear Yikesstripes,

Call in RSVPs would only be appropriate for very small informal weddings. But, at this point, it would appear as if all of you will be calling your guests to find out if they are attending. Time is very short now and some guests may think that they are on the B list. Very unfortunate.

Good luck with this!
