We are taking a cruise to the Caribbean and getting married in St. Thomas while we are in port. I'm not sure how to word the invitations (or use inserts) to acknowledge that guests can join us on the cruise or fly to St. Thomas to meet us. We are expecting 50 guests who have already made their travel arrangements with both options, but we may have some "save the dates" change their mind. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also, we are not having a full reception - just cake and champagne on the beach after the ceremony. However we are planning on getting a group reservation at one of the specialty restaurants on the ship that evening for the sailing guests. Not sure how to communicate that to those guests only.
On the invitations you could list the location on your wedding. On an insert you could mention that you will be sailing (and list the travel info) if they wish to join you on the ship. You could also mention the on board dinner on this as well. Use informal language and in your own words.
