How much time should guests be given to respond to wedding invitations

Hello,

If I understand correctly wedding invitations should be sent out 2 months in advance. How much time should guests be given to respond since the RSVP date is before the wedding date? (...a few weeks, a month?)

Thanks

Normally you need to turn in your guest count to the caterer 3 to 4 weeks in advance of the wedding. So I recommend 3 to 4 weeks before the wedding.
