How to send Save the Date magnets

We are sending save the date magnets with our names, date and the words "save the date"- is it proper etiquette to send them inside save the date cards, or should we just send the magnets themselves? Thanks!

Dear Save the Date,

As long as the magnets have all of the information needed, it doesn't matter which you do. It is your choice.
