How to word time on wedding invitations to make sure guests arrive on time

I am getting ready to purchase my invitations, but I am not sure what time to list. I want the ceremony to start at 7:00 PM sharp and I don't want people showing up at exactly 7:00. I'd like them to arrive early. How should we word the wedding invitations so that the guests come on time or before 7 PM, not right at 7?

Thank You

Dear Wants to Start,

Typically the invitation would read,

"Parent's name request ...

for their daughter...and Mr. ...

date, time, place, R.S.V.P.

The time to print on the invitations is the exact time of the wedding. It is understood that the wedding will begin at that time. If you are worried, there is nothing wrong with adding a line at the bottom of the invitation that the wedding will begin precisely at seven o' clock.

Congratulations to you and yours.

Print the time you want guests to arrive. But, if you list, for example, 6:45 PM, you may have guests arriving at 6:30 or earlier, so be prepared. Some churches have other weddings booked before.

You can't control everyone, so aim towards most. I would just list the time the ceremony starts and hope that most of my guests are polite enough (savvy enough) to arrive a few minutes before.
