Including directions in a wedding invitation

We have rented a (big) boat for our wedding. Our ceremony as well as the reception will be held on the boat. We have only chartered it for 3 hours, so we don't have alot of time to wait for anyone who is tardy. I am having trouble trying to figure out how to inform my guests that they can not be late for the departure of the boat. I really need to stress the point that they can't be late or the boat will sail with out them. I was thinking I could utilize the reception card and put something like this in it. "Please be prompt. Ship starts boarding at 1:45, sails at 2pm sharp. Dinner reception immeditately following ceremony. The Grand Lady is docked behind the Holiday Inn." Is this appropriate? The reason for the last part is because the boat is not viewable from the parking lot. You do need to go thru the hotel to get to it.

Is it also appropriate to insert a computer printed map on how to find it.

Use a handwritten insert to state your concerns and directions. But know that no matter what you write, there still could be a gust who may be late anyway. Try to have someone be available at the dock or at least a sign to direct anyone who may come late. Your cruise and banquet manager is probably well versed in this area so ask for their advice.

Pre-printed maps are fine to enclose.

Bon Voyage!
