Including hotel and directions in wedding invitation

I would like to include in my wedding invitation information regarding hotels in the area, directions to the church, directions from the church to the reception hall, and a map of the general area.(Many of our guests are from out of town.) Is it tacky to include this on a separate type-written note in the invitation (done by me not the printer of the invitations)? I was considering having this information included on enclosure cards for the invitation; however, I think I'd end up needing three separate enclosure cards which would add over a hundred dollars to the cost of the invitations. Thanks in advance for your help. I have asked only a few questions on this site, but I rely on your responses to others heavily in planning my wedding with proper etiquette. Blush
