     Interfaith marriages

What's the etiquette regarding invitations for interfaith marriages? I want to respect both but worry about offending someone in the process. The wedding will include two officiants.

Thanks.

Can you be more specific?

In the Jewish faith you invite people to a celebration of marriage and they don't use the word "to" but rather "and" between the bride and groom's names. In the Christian faith, they request to presence (not the participation in celebration, so speak)of people to witness the marriage "to", etc. Is there an appropriate way to walk that line?

Plus, in the Jewish faith both the grooms' and bride's parents are acknowledged. However, in this case, the Christian bride's parents are paying. How do I acknowledge that without offending?

Dear Ajrhaar,

You could use the verbiage of the traditional Jewish invitation, as it is very close and is respectful.

The groom's parents could be listed under the groom's name as: son of... .
