     Invitation etiquette

We are not getting married until next year but we know already that many of the people we would like to invite are unable to attend.

We would not like to offend them by not sending an invitation, but wonder whether some people would see an invitation as a solicitation for a present.

Help, what do we do??

Dear Invitation Etiquette,

Not to worry. An invitation is not a plea for gifts and should not be viewed as such. Please send invitations to all you wish to attend even if you think that they may not be able to.

Congratulations on your up-coming wedding.
