     Invitation wording

Our wedding ceremony is going to be in the backyard of a friends house, and the reception is at a different location.

How do we word the invitation?

Dear Invitation Wording,

This is a typical invitation, but you may wish to personize it to make it less formal:

The honour of your presence is requested

at the marriage of

Bride

to

Mr. Groom

Date

Time

Location

And afterward at the reception

Time

Location

RSVP

You could use "invite you to the wedding of.” It may begin with “Please join us to celebrate,” or “We hope you will join us” just to name a few.

Best wishes,
