Inviting a family when using wedding invitation with only one envelope

When inviting a family, I've heard to use Mr & Mrs on outer envelope and the names of the kids on the inner envelope. My invititations do not include an inner envelope. How should I address the outer?

Dear Mymichele,

You could use the 'and family', but it isn't the best. It would be better to include a little note with the invitations stating that their children are also invited.

Best wishes,
