We have created a website for our destination wedding details, upon which our guests have the option of RSVPing to our invitations. The website will appear on the response card; however, guests still have the choice of mailing it.
I'd like to know if it's OK to leave the stamps off of the response cards? Seems like a waste of money to me. I would also like to know what you think about this idea in general - is it too impersonal?

Dear Punkbar,
It isn't considered appropriate to include a wedding website on any part of your invitations, because you include gift information on this site--we never mention gifts on the invitation. So, you would have to get the word out about the site through another method, perhaps email everyone.
Response cards are relatively new and in the past were considered impolite. It is as if saying that your guests don't know how to properly respond, which it appears is true for many. So, it is your choice to use these cards. But, if you do, it is not polite to expect your guests to pay for postage.
