I am having a black and white wedding and we want everyone to wear only black and white. Can I put this dress request in the invitation?

Dear Zanderw,
You can include an enclosure with the dress code. But, it really isn't fair to tell your guests exactly what to wear. So, expect that some will either not abide or will not attend.
