     No Time

Shocked Help! Today is Dec 28 and the wedding is Jan 8. There is no time for a reply card to be mailed back. May I add reply wording to the bottom of the invitation and may that refer to a phone number?

Dear No Time,

For last minute weddings, you may even call your guests to invite them. But, if you wish to mail invitations, you may include a phone number. This is common for last minute and informal weddings.

May the invitations be express mailed? If so I'd assume all handwritten information on the invitation envelopes but the mailing service will require their stickers of printed addresses. Would it be appropriate to insert the handwritten envelopes into the special mailing service envelopes?

I'm thinking the wording of the invitation would be:

The honor of your presence is requested at the marriage of

bride

to

groom

Saturday, the Eight of Jauary

Three o’clock in the afternoon

at the Church

address

Reception to follow at the home of

host name

address

Please confirm your attendance by contacting phone #

Dear No Time,

Honestly, at this point, I think you will have to break a few rules or you won't have any guests for your wedding. Do whatever you need to do to get the word out. What you have described is wonderful, but will be costly.

Best wishes,
