     Pre-Wedding Celebration Invitation Wording Help

My fiance and I are getting married in Maui on November 6, 2009 and are only inviting a handful of people to joins us (parents & siblings).

We are having a dinner reception for our friends and family who won't be attending prior to leaving. We are having trouble figuring out how to word the invitations though.

The dinner reception will be formal with cocktail hour, 3 course dinner, live band, open bar, etc. which will be held in New York.

We don't want to call it an engagement party but are unsure of the best wording for this type of pre-wedding event.

If anyone can offer some advice as to what to put on the invitations it would be greatly appreciated.
