Prefix for married woman not changing last name

My name is My-Huong Elsa Bui. I just got married but decided not to change my name (Ross) to keep my deceased dad's name and for professional reasons. When replying to a wedding invitation (which my husband will not be attending), is Mrs. M. Elsa Bui wrong because people will assume my husband's name is Bui as well? What should I use as my prefix: Ms. or Mrs?

Thanks, Elsa

Dear Elsa,

You could use either title, that is a personal choice. You could also use your legal last name with your husband's last name in parentheses just so the host will know who you are.

Best wishes,
