     Pushy colleagues demand wedding invitations

Two colleagues of mine (one vendor and one ex-boss) assume they're invited to the wedding. In fact, each of them separately has emailed me to demand an invitation! Literally "I'd better get an invite soon". I am at an absolute loss as to how to respond. I do not want to invite either of them but want to keep up professional relations...

How unfortunate that someone so rude is in a position of authority.

I think you have to speak to them and respectfully say that unfortunately, your venue has limited seating and your large family has taken the guest list. Maybe say that you even have had to leave out some family. If someone else is paying you can set the blame with them stating limited funds. Be very apologetic - translation - butt kiss. Crazy

Please let us know how this works out for you.

So very well put. I completely agree and this is exactly what I would suggest.
