I am sending out invitations solely as a formality...only immediate family is flying out for our small ceremony and casual lunch afterwards. I am planning on less than 20 invitations being sent out. Thusfar, they read as follows:
(bride) and (groom)
invite you to share in their joy as they,
along with (bride's daughter),
officially become a family
date
time place
Following the ceremony,
Lunch will be served at their residence,
(our address)
I don't feel as though response cards are necessary since the family members that are coming have already purchased plane tickets. Am I on the right track? Also, this is my 2nd wedding, groom's first, and is a very casual event.

Re: RSVP necessary for family only wedding?

Dear Carly,
Response cards are always optional. So, this is fine. As long as they have an address to respond to, it is all good.
