Reception 6 weeks after wedding - when to mail invitations?
My son is marrying a Russian girl. Once she gets her Fiance's Visa they have only 90 days to marry, so it will be a fast beach wedding at home in FL. We will invite all to the reception in Chicago 6 weeks later to celebrate. I've read previous posts that no wedding announcement is needed (I'd planned on doing that !) as the reception invite will serve. When do I send the reception invite? Do I send them before the wedding to give the guests time to plan or more correctly the day after the wedding? But guests won't have time to plan the trip and we might have a lower attendance? What do we do? Thanks!

Dear MomFro,
It is best to send them 8 weeks before the reception. So, send them a couple of weeks before they marry.
