     Wedding Invitation Addressed to 'Family'

The wedding invitation was addressed to the 'Smith Family' who at the time had 3 Smith's in the home and thats what was added to the headcount. Since then another 'Smith', who we don't know well, moved home and the rsvp was sent back with 4. Help, we are at our headcount limit and even if others send regrets we had a 'b list'.

Dear Wedding Invitation,

Not what you want to hear, but this is why 'and family' or other non-specific addressing is so risky. Unfortunately, you have invited these guests. There really is nothing you can do about it at this point. Sorry.
