     Wedding Registry

Several wedding invitations I received over the summer included a small card that lists where the couple is registered. At first I thought it was tacky, but on the other hand I liked knowing exactly where to go and what the couple would truly like. What is your opinion on this? I will be working on my invitations very soon and am wondering everyone's take on this.

Thanks!

Including a gift registry card in a wedding invitation implies that the couple are expecting gifts which is considered to be impolite. The gift registry is usually inlucded with teh bridal shower invitation since that is a gift giving event. Otherwise, any mention of gifts in an invitation is considered tacky and the registry information or gift preference should be made clear through the parents of the couple and their family members, if asked.
