     When to Send Save-The-Date Cards

My fiance and I just got engaged in June. We have decided to get married next August. When would be the best time to send out Save the Dates? What is too early or too late?

Save the Date cards can be sent as soon as you have your venue and date set. However, it may be wise to hold off until 6 to 8 months before. Best wishes.

Agreed. And, please remember that these are optional and can be problematic. Everyone you send save the dates to also receive wedding invitations. It is best, if you choose to use them, to wait until all plans are made and you are absolutely positive on your guest list and budget.
