My fiance and I have been engaged for eight months now, and our wedding is just under a year away. When should we send out our save-the-dates? Would it be to soon to do it now? Should we wait until the first of the year? Our send them with our Christmas cards? Please help! I've gotten different answers from everyone. Oh, and they are magnents so they'd be easy to stick on the fridge.
THANK YOU!

Re: [FarminRaeRae] When to send out Save-The-Date magnets

Etiquette (which is newly written as Save-the-Dates are a relatively recent advent) says to send them out 6 months prior to the wedding. I have comfortably had clients send them out a little bit earlier (especially when the wedding is at a particularly remote location or around a holiday), but you should wait at least a few more months to avoid your friends and family losing them. You can still announce your engagement now, which will clue everyone in to the upcoming wedding. Shayna Walker, Williamsburg Wedding Design

I completely agree. Plus, I would avoid including these with your holiday greeting cards. These should be separate mailings. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
