     Wording & Divorced Parents

Hi all! How do I word the invitations when my fiance's parents are divorced and she has kept her married name?

Jack & Jane Smith

or

Jack Smith and Jane Smith

or

Jack Smith

Jane Smith

Also, does the mother or father's name go first? My parents are still married (25 years and counting!) so they should appear as:

Betty & Bob Maxwell

correct?

Thanks for your help in advance! I love this place I have learned so much!!!

Hi Kim:

Are your parents hosting the wedding? Traditionally, the invitation is from the hosts of the wedding reception so the grooms parents names would not be mentioned.

Your parents would be Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maxwell.

Hi! Both sets of parents are contributing to the wedding ceremony and reception, we are having a destination wedding in Mexico. Any of the above options correct?

Your invitation should read

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maxwell

and

Mrs. Jane Smith

and

Mr. Jack Smith

or you could word it: Together with their parents

Bride

and

Groom

request, etc.....
