Wording Wedding Invitations When Father of Groom is Deceased

I am preparing the invitations for my son's wedding. My husband is deceased. When wording the wedding invitations, do I capitalize each of the following: The Late John H. Smith or should it be: the late John H Smith?

Dear Lilmurmaid,

The words, the and late, are not capitalized. And, the sentence is placed under your son's name with the words, 'also the son of'.

Best wishes,
