My Fiancee and I each have two house holds full of dinnerware, cook ware, towels, sheet sets... How do we word the invitations to ask for nothing needed accept their presents? We know our family and friends will want to give us something but we don't want to ask for cash(how rude)
Right, asking for any particular gift isn't proper and not well received. Gifts, or lack thereof, aren't mentioned in the wedding nvitation. To do so would insinuate that you were expecting gifts in the first place. Just be sure to tell anyone who asks and spread the word to family and friends. You seem like a caring and generous person so my guess is that guests will send a gift anyway. If you end of receiving a gift, just write a nice thank you note and feel blessed.
