sending invitations to photographer and officiant?

Okay, I've read posts and I'm still confused. I know I should send an invitation to the officiant and his spouse, but I read you should send a written one. Should I send an actual letter or is the invitation I sent to everyone else sufficient?

Also, do I send an invitation to the photographer? He and his associate are there to work, for the ceremony and the reception, but I didn't know if I should send it for him to have the details about the day...

Sorry for sounding so dense... Thanks.

You can send the regular invitation to the officiant. You do not need to send invitations to service providers. Only send invitations to guests. You will tell the photographer all he needs to know.
