sent a save the date card - do I have to send wedding invitation?

I sent a save the date card to a friend four months ago and now I do not care to invite her to my wedding. She has become very close with my ex-husband and his new wife and only wants to come to my wedding to spy. Can I just not send her an inviation since it did say on my save the date cards "invitaion to follow"? What would be the proper way to handle this situation? Thanks

Dear Vickiv,

It is proper to send invitations to those for whom you sent save the dates. And, it sounds as if this could be a misunderstanding. It may be best to talk to her about this.

Best wishes,
