Another question ... my fiance is a Naval officer and I have my Ph.D. ... since his title will be included on the invitation, should mine be as well?? Thanks!

Sorry to harp on this, but my family's driving me crazy with the specifics of this!
So does this sound ok?
Dr. & Mrs. Brad Smith
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Dr. Margaret Catherine Smith
to
LT Paul Jones
US Navy
son of Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Jones
Or do you think it would look more normal just to say "Margaret Catherine"??
Thanks so much!

Don't worry about asking questions. This is a 'good' thing.
You wouldn't use Dr. unless this is how you are addressed in writing usually. Typically, only Dr. is used in writing, when the person is a medical doctor. You would alternately use, Ph.D after your name.
