     Mother/Son Father/Daughter Dance (Father Deaced)

I was wondering what I should do for the father daughter dance since my father just passed away. Is it okay for me to dance with my mom? And what kind of song is appropriate? I thought maybe "I'm Already There", by Lonestar. I was hoping someone might be able to give me some good suggestions about this. I want to make sure my Father is honored and remembered.

I'm sorry for your recent loss. I know from personal experience how difficult it is to carry on with what should be a happy event even though there is still some sadness and grieving. I would like to suggest limiting the memorializing to the ceremony and leaving the reception to be more of an upbeat celebration. Most times the ceremony is the time for tears - happy and sad. During the ceremony you could honor your father in a few different ways. Read more about how to honor a deceased parent during the wedding ceremony here. You can also add a memorial to the wedding program.
