Wedding song for my daughter and my fiance!

Hi, My name is Mari and Im a mother to a wonderful 3 year old little girl. Well when I became pregnant with her, sad to say I became a single parent. When I wasnt looking for anyone, I found someone and he has been apart of my life as well as my daughter`s since she was 3months old. He has raised her as his own and his family cares for her the same. Last year in August he proposed! So we plan to wed in March 2007, I have heard "HE DIDNT HAVE TO BE" and each and every time I hear it I cry! I know its a guy singing it but I feel like its a perfect song for them too! Is there anything that you would be able to suggest? Just any ideas of something new? If not I know "HE DIDNT HAVE TO BE" is the one for it!

The three of you are very lucky to have found one another. I am in the same circumstance and I agree that although it is a song written for a young man to his stepfather, the words are really poignant and an honor for any father.

There is an entire CD of special songs for stepfamilies here:

You can listen to clips out at the site. See if any of those songs strike a chord.

Best of luck...
