I hired one of the best photographers in town to cover my wedding. It was one of the first things I booked for the wedding, and I was not able to take my fiance (the business guy!) with me, and I had no idea what I was doing.
Well, I made a deal to take a lower price in exchange for no prints, just a cd and copyright release for the images. The photographer then added a sales tax to the total. After we started booking other wedding services (videographer, DJ, etc) I was told that there is no tax on video and dj services because my state doesn't tax labor/services. So why then is my photographer charging a sales tax on the full price of his services (tax comes to a few hundred dollars!) Can anyone tell me what the law in Oklahoma is on this?
I'm afraid to confront the photographer because the wedding is in a few days, and if I challenge him, maybe he won't do a good job on the photos....please help!

We cannot offer you legal assistance. However, I would suggest that you review your contract and discuss the fees included with your photographer. Any professional will be happy to discuss his fees and contract with you as long as done in a reasonable manner. Call him to calmly discuss after you research the tax law in your state.
