     Mom's 4th husband

My mother recently married her 4th husband without telling the family and moved to Ohio. I am getting married in October and my question is do I have to include her husband in my wedding photos? I do not know him and have no relationship with him and do not want him in my pictures? If I do not have to have him in my photos how do I tell my mom without insulting her or her 4th husband?

Dear Bride to Be,

You can have anyone in your pictures or no one but you and your husband. So, you could tell her that you only want those close to you in these and you don't know him.

Best wishes,

Perhaps you can ask your photographer to orchestrate the photos. Let him know ahead of time who you want and don't want. Let him say - OK, now Mom and bride - now Mom, bride and groom - now mom of the bride, groom and mom and dad of groom - etc. I think the photographers get these situations all the time. Speak to him/her about how they can help handle this issue properly.
