Wedding photography including children not in the bridal party

My brother doesn't want his young son and daughter to be the ring bearer and flower girl at my wedding. Is it oaky to have a formal posed picture with these children without their parents?

We are already planning to have a picture with the parents and children.

Thank you.

You can ask your photographer to photograph any individuals you'd like. Is there more to the story?
