     2 Brothers Weddings

Here is my dilemma: my boyfriend was intending to propose in April 06 for an April 07 wedding. We found out last night his brother plans on proposing to his girlfriend this Christmas with a wedding date TBA.

Should we now wait to get engaged/married until after his brother's wedding? How much time should be between the weddings of immediate family members?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Dear Two Brothers,

If you have already set a date, you are already engaged. It really doesn't matter if he proposed formally. But, it is nice to offer to wait.

If they know of your date, then they can plan around you. If they do not know, it would be best to wait.

There is no firm number of days or months in between these events. We just have to try to plan this as logically and with as much consideration for our guests as possible. So, in my opinion, two months is a good amount of time.

Good luck with this!
