     Backyard wedding

My Mother wanted a big wedding, in a large Garden. I want a small and simple wedding, in our backyard. Should I go on with my small ,but simple wedding or should I do the large Garden wedding since my mother is paying for it all? Thanks

Dear Bride,

Many couples are paying for their own weddings these days since parents are not financially responsible for wedding costs. So, anything your mother gives you is a gift. It isn't supposed to be a controlling issue. She should have some say in some aspects just out of respect. But, you should be able to plan the wedding you want.

Best wishes,
