Our daughter's fiance has received word that he is being deployed for the second time to Iraq. He'll have a short leave in mid-June so they have decided to move up their wedding (by a few years). The couple wants a military wedding and although it's been a scramble almost everything has been arranged - smaller church, small informal reception, smaller wedding party - everything smaller and much more intimate. It won't be the wedding they were dreaming of, but as my daughter said, "We care more about proclaiming our love in front of our family and friends than anything else". The only problem is, since his unit is already stationed out of the country, we're unable to use them as color guard. I've contacted our local Army Reserve and have been told someone will call me back, however, time is getting short and I've not received any phone calls. Suggestions are appreciated.

Dear Love my Dog,
I wish I could help, but I'm not up to date on my military protocol.

I don't know of anything you can do except keep calling and try to get a number of someone else you can call when you do reach someone that's obviously trying to put you off. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
