     Elope and have wedding later?

Crazy My boyfriend and I have to finally decided to get married. We can't afford a wedding immediately. So we want to elope and then have our wedding on our first wedding anniversary. Is there any ideas on how to go about doing this.

Better think about this...

Once you are married - well, you're married. You cannot repeat it. So, if you want to get married with the ceremony, reception, guests, etc. you should wait until you can afford it.

If you just have to be married now then go ahead but with the knowledge that what you'll be doing later on would be considered a vow renewal and is a totally different service.

I completely agree. Please read more about vow renewal etiquette to help you make up your mind.
