     Families are 42 hrs apart

My fiancé and I are trying to figure out how to plan our wedding. I come from Ontario and he comes from British Columbia. We understand that not everyone will be able to make it but we would like to make it as easy as we can for everyone. We're thinking of a Jasper location because we live near by...but now what?? What etiquette do we have to follow now that EVERYONE is coming to us? or is Jasper even a good idea?

The tradition is to get married in the bride's hometown but if you choose to provide a destination that is more interesting or midway for your guests, the etiquette is the same. You invite your guests and they choose whether they will attend. You should pay for the attendants accomodations at the destination and they pay for their travel. Your guests would be responsible for the travel and accomodations, so it's always best to give as much notice as possible. Using a save the date card with hotel information is a very common item.
