     Hotel Reception

we reserved a hotel reception site in March of 2004 for our wedding in Nov 2004. we come to find out in July that major, major construction is taking place on the hotel. they are expending the hotel and adding additional conference rooms and hotel rooms. a HUGE crane, buldozers and lots of construction equipment clutter the entire area around the hotel. What are your thoughts on our next step to notify how extemely dissatisfied we are with the hotel management?

Are you trying to get your deposit back and find a new location? It is a bit late now to find something new but if you are really bothered by this construction and do not want to have your reception at this hotel then please review your contract with the reception venue to see if you can get your deposit back. I would be sure to have an alternative location in the works (do not sign a contract with a new place until you have cancelled with the hotel)before canceling with the hotel.
