How do I become a wedding planner

Hello,
Im a 16 year old girl looking to get into the wedding planning buisness.
I was just wondering if anybody has any information as to how to do this?
Or tips?
HAve you ever used a wedding planner?
Or would you consider it?
And how old do you think id have to be for people to take me seriously?
Thanks Lucy x

Lucy -

You can read about becoming a wedding planner here.

I would suggest getting a good, solid education, high school and college, since you will need it to operate your own business.

Good luck...

Being a wedding planner you need to know where to find resources and how to bargain for prices. Some wedding searching websites are available too. Also, you can go to Weddingchannel or theknot.com to get a wedding planning list. You can also go to the above two websites and weddinglenox.com to find wedding service providers and contact them, bargain price with them, etc.

Reading a wedding planner guide would help a lot.
