How long between bridesmaids/friends wedding dates?

My friend and I both got engaged on the same weekend and we are going to be bridesmaids in each other's weddings. Her Maid of Honor is also one of my bridesmaids as well. She is planning her wedding at the end of August and has already set a date for the 23rd. I am thinking about sometime in September or October.

How much time should I leave between the two weddings? I don't want to be stepping on each other's toes or putting extra stress on each other or the bridesmaid we are sharing. Unfortunately, my 3rd attendant is a new mother and my MOH is my out-of-town sister so I don't want to dump the bulk of the bridesmaid duties on any one person.

Is one month after my bridesmaid's wedding too soon to have my wedding? What about two months?

Dear Arielblue,

There really is no absolute amount of time. We just have to consider what is fair. So, ask your friend if she feels that she will have enough time to devote to your wedding in that month after hers.

There really isn't too much that attendants must do before the wedding. As long as you are doing most of the coordinating, it should be fine. The one problem may be your shared guest list. If you have many of the same guests, it may be a problem for them. So, take all of this into consideration.

Best wishes,
