     Moving the date

I just found out yesterday my future sister-in-law is pregnant. I am ecstatic for her as they have been trying for a while. Only one issue, they live in NY (upstate) and our wedding will be in Fairfax, Va. My FSIL's due date is Sept 23rd, our wedding date is Sept 22nd. My FSIL and her husband have asked us to move the wedding date since they are supposed to be part of the wedding. The only thing is that our date has been set for about 6 months now and we have already had save-the-date cards printed and favors inscribed. Also, my fiance's mother has already said she will stay in NY with my FSIL since it will be the first grandchild. My fiance wants his mother at the wedding and I know it will be too soon to travel with a newborn. What do we do?

Dear Rosie,

This is a personal decision that only you and your fiance can make as there is no right or wrong. It is only choice.

If it were me and I could change the date without losing deposits, I would. Family is very important.

Best wishes,
