In about a year, my boyfriend and I plan to get married. My boyfriend has his ushers and best man picked out already. But I don't have a Maid of Honor!!! I have female acquintances, but I don't feel close to them and comfortable with any of them being my maid of honor, only bridesmaids. I have a lot of close female cousins, but they all live a distance away.(country apart). Any suggestions? I just want a simple formal wedding, maybe 150 to 200 guests.
When you have searched all of your options and still don't feel you have anyone close enough to serve as a maid of honor, you can eliminate the maid of honor entirely.
