     Thanksgiving wedding?

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I want to have my wedding in Nov. 2006 the weekend after thanksgiving. My thoughts are that it would be a great time to have it, everyone is off of work. I want to have it at the beach which is a 3-4 hour drive for all family members b/c no one really lives close together. Is having a Thanksgiving wedding a bad idea due to the amount of traveling that everyone has to do. Should I expect a lot of people to RSVP "no"?

Dear Thanksgiving Wedding,

There is a lot of traveling on this weekend, but it may be a great date because so many will be traveling that weekend anyway. So, it could be better because of that reason. I suppose you won't really know until you talk to your family.

Ask your family about their thoughts. Many may not want to go because of the traffic and the hotel stay. Even though it is only 3-4 hours to the beach, it is that same amount of time home. However, many may want the trip to the beach for a family wedding.

Best wishes,
